There was a time, not so long ago, that any damage done to your body was irreversible. Luckily, medicine has changed that and there are now many things that can be completely altered. You can get a new nose, new breasts, have unwanted hair removed, brighten your teeth, even correct your eyesight, but is there such a thing as a stretch mark eraser?People are often confused by stretch marks, thinking that only pregnant women get them. Yes, some pregnant women do get them, but not all. Stretch marks are caused by the skin stretching too fast. During pregnancy, a woman’s skin stretches as her abdominal region increases in size, and when the skin goes back to its normal size (after birth), the skin is left slack and with stretch marks. Many women choose to coat their stomachs with cocoa butter or Vitamin E oil in order to prevent the marks from occurring, and although there is little medical evidence to prove that it works, it just may! So, the best stretch mark eraser may, in fact, be a product made by Mother Nature herself.Keep in mind that you don’t have to be pregnant to get stretch marks! Many men with otherwise great bodies have stretch marks. You see, any guy who builds muscle quickly – across his chest, his arms, or his thighs – will have stretch marks that prove how hard and fast he worked. Both men and women who lose a lot of weight will find that their skin had stretched during their heavier days and that although they are now slimmer and healthier, their skin is riddled with marks. There are more scientific ways to treat stretch marks, and some of these are more effective than the usual cocoa butter regimen. Laser treatment is proving to be the most successful and reliable of stretch mark erasers. By addressing both the color change and the actual ridges that occur in the skin, the appearance of the stretch marks is considerably diminished. This treatment can be very expensive, however, and can require that you no longer go out into the sun – so it is something you really need to think seriously about! There is no one single way to treat stretch marks because everyone’s skin is so different. It goes without saying that a good moisturizer, used almost constantly, during a time of muscular or fat growth is the best way to prevent stretch marks from occurring in the first place.
