It is funny (and kind of sad!) that one of the most common questions asked of gynecologists is whether or not the mother will get stretch marks. Stretch marks seem to be almost guaranteed with most pregnancies, but there are ways to avoid them. There are, however, few ways to erase stretch marks after they have already occurred. So, if you can prevent them, it is best to do so!Stretch marks occur in the dermis level of the skin, which is just below the level that you can see and touch. Sometimes, especially during pregnancy, this level grows too quickly and all of the cells can’t keep up with the growth.
